We are seeking a motivated individual to be a part of our Acute Care Team in a PART-TIME (25 Hours Per Week) position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care at our Inpatient Facility in Littleton, CO. Licensed Practical Nurse


Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the provision of direct services to clients receiving psychiatric services in the AllHealth Network Sycamore Medication Services Clinic and will participate as a skilled member of the Clinic Team. Under the direction of the RN, APN, or Physician will provide psychiatric services including, but not limited to, contributing to client health and mental status assessment, medication administering and monitoring including coordination with prescriber to ensure client access to their medications, health screening and education, and coordination of medical services with PCP and other involved health care professionals.



  1. Education: Licensed by the Colorado State Board of Nursing
  2. Experience: Requires a minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting with seriously and persistently mentally ill individuals. Requires knowledge of managed care issues; mental illness symptoms, treatment, and functional implications; standard therapeutic practices; and psychotropic medications and their administration under the direction of a physician.
  3. Skills: Ability to provide good written and verbal communication; develop therapeutic relationships with consumers; establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with other professionals in all levels of authority; manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently; participate as a team member in planning and delivery of services; act independently with in scope of practice and seek supervision and consultation when appropriate.
  4. Other: Ability to negotiate stairs, climb a step ladder, and lift equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs. Must possess own transportation, have a good driving record, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.




  1. Work positively and cohesively as a member of the Medication Services team to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of our clients. May be required to act as a liaison to other teams and/or serve on Center wide committees.
  2. Screen clients for health issues related to the use of psychotropic medications, provide teaching related to managing chronic illnesses, and make referrals to ongoing care.
  3. Skillfully observe, assess, and accurately document client's mental status and progress and provide appropriate interventions.
  4. Monitor, with psychiatrists, all lab work. Document lab results and consult with physician regarding any changes or concerns.
  5. Respond to client, pharmacy and other staff's requests for refills of client medications as well as staff questions regarding side-effects, etc.
  6. Provide case management consultation to ensure appropriate continuation of treatment to include, but not limited to, linkage, monitoring, and service planning. Request the assistance of an RN or emergency services when dealing with clients in crisis.
  7. Observe for medical problems, consult with physician, and make appropriate referrals to medical physicians, dentists, or clinics as indicated.
  8. Facilitate and/or co-facilitate group for consumers as indicated.
  9. Attend staff meetings as appropriate to position and participate as an active member.
  10. Participate in relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences on an on-going basis.
  11. Coordinate with AllHealth Network Pharmacy on Patient Assistance Programs which are set up by pharmaceutical companies to provide medication to indigent clients. This includes providing consultation and information to staff and consumers about these programs as appropriate.
  12. Complete all required paperwork accurately, legibly, and within established timelines.
  13. Perform other duties within the scope of the position, license and experience of the employee as may be required or requested by the Supervisor.
