Vice President of Medical Services

 

Your Role:

Provide medical supervision and leadership to the AllHealth Network medical team to achieve the mission and goals of the organization. Provide direct medical and psychiatric care in various clinical settings and participate in the training of medical students. 

What you'll need:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school; graduate of an approved three-year psychiatric residency program;
  • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing psychiatrist
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior or executive leadership role
  • Thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of psychiatric care in a community mental health setting
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills an executive who can engage providers with facts and data to implement tactics to achieve the strategy
  • Superb interpersonal skills and a skilled written and oral communicator, who communicates clearly, sincerely, directly, succinctly and effectively 

 

 

Your Opportunity:

 

  • Work closely with the Chief Clinical Officer to ensure medical services are coordinated and in alignment with the goals of clinical programs
  • Conduct medical examinations and/or psychiatric evaluations, and perform psychiatric diagnosis and treatment services
  • Evaluate and review the work of other medical and psychiatric providers for appropriate diagnosis, treatment and chart documentation
  • Establish and maintain effective medical staff relationships and actively involve providers in operational decision-making
  • Channel information from medical staff to the Executive Team in order to support providers in addressing and resolving patient care concerns
  • Work with the CEO in the development of clinical strategic planning including adoption of new clinical technologies, advocating with regulators, and seeking out and developing new clinical lines of business that align with the strategic vision of AllHealth Network
  • Develop initiatives to improve productivity and grow volume, developing new operating revenue streams by capitalizing on innovative and sound practices along the appropriate continuum of care
  • Become a trusted and respected community partner to ensure the highest quality of care, quality and client outcomes, and increase awareness of the quality care and positive mental health outcomes achieved at AllHealth Network
  • Establish a strong, aligned employee base across AllHealth Network, using professional development and succession plans to forge a high-performance culture of excellence and one that includes open communication, accountability and participative decision-making
  • Establish strong working relationships/partnerships with other medical leaders in the community to improve care coordination and generate business growth
  • Develop and maintain relationships with medical schools and oversee medical student rotations
  • Provide direct supervision of medical training programs at AllHealth Network, including supervision of medical students and trainees
  • In conjunction with the Executive leadership team, set and meet financial objectives and integration of mission, goals and operational needs of AllHealth Network in a way that anticipates and reflects the changing competitive and reimbursement environments for behavioral health
  • Provide leadership and participation on committees specific to medical operational functions of AllHealth Network
  • Manage direct reports including recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, compensation and executive compensation
  • Participate with other members of the leadership staff in developing a culture of trust, openness, collaboration and mutual respect
  • Ensure that AllHealth Network's mission, vision, values, operating principles and strategic direction are consistently communicated and evident in the provision and delivery of client care services
  • Ensure all AllHealth Network medical operations function efficiently and effectively and are in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures and legal/regulatory requirements. Continually monitor the client care services operation and related programs, ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations governing health care delivery.
  • Follow all AllHealth Network policies and procedures
  • Complete all required trainings as listed in Relias Learning (both online training and face-to-face training) within required timelines
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee.
