Founded in 1955, AllHealth Network provides professional, culturally inclusive mental health and substance abuse services, including outpatient services such as individual, family, marital and group counseling and psychiatry plus a full range of specialized programs including an acute treatment unit, program for those with severe and persistent mental illness, and more.



The criminal justice case manager is responsible for the coordination of all services that the inmate consumer will receive after the referral is made by the mental health liaison at Douglas County Detention Center. The case manager will collaborate with the mental health liaison and the inmate in identifying and assessing immediate needs of the inmate. This may include housing, food, medications, psychiatric services, and medical issues. The goal is to assist in the stabilization of the inmate with linkage to appropriate mental health, substance abuse and medical providers in the community. Other responsibilities may include outreach, follow-up and crisis intervention as needed.


  • Coordinate case management services for inmates who are in the Douglas County Jail with the goal of successful re-entry into the community.
  • Will work with individuals until clearly linked with community providers who can assume ongoing treatment services.
  • Provide outreach, follow-up, and reentry intervention as needed.
  • Link and refer to other needed resources in the community. Will facilitate activation of benefits for all individuals who meet criteria.
  • Provide and maintain accurate documentation of one's interventions with and for clients. This includes record keeping required by the ADAD, DOC, Division of Criminal Justice, Community Corrections Department, the funding sources, and AllHealth Network.
  • Must work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Will interface with the Department of Corrections (DOC), Community Corrections programs, District Attorney's office, the Public Defender's office, the 18th Judicial District Probation office, the Courts, etc. in order to coordinate a reentry plan that is supported by all involved agencies and entities.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, evaluation, crisis intervention and psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups of clients with mental health and behavioral health needs
  • Administer standardized screening tools to identify clients with behavioral health and/or substance abuse problems
  • Assist clients with symptom reduction (e.g. insomnia, anxiety, depression, and post-trauma symptoms, stress management, emotional dysregulation)
  • Use evidence-based models for treatment, including but not limited to CBT, solution-focused therapy, behavioral activation, harm reduction, motivational interviewing and health psychology
  • Provide an integrated care approach to assessment and intervention for clients having difficulty managing their health due to physical health conditions/chronic disease, psychological, behavioral, cognitive, and/or social factors
  • Work closely and collaboratively within a team to provide support and coordination in addressing social issues and basic needs that are barriers to effective treatment and the client's ability to thrive
  • Provide linkage to case management services and/or community-based resources as needed
  • Develop a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan and goals for the client; updating and modifying as needs change
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EHR according to established protocols
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client caseload, treatment, concerns, and recommendations
  • Positively contribute to the financial health of the organization by ensuring delivery of billable services and utilizing, monitoring, and collecting data for decision making and program improvements
  • Maintain positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with community, government agencies, and other professionals
  • Participate and contribute to team meetings, clinical supervision, and other meetings, as needed, to ensure cohesive department operations
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in specialized training
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, legibly and within established timelines
  • Follow all AllHealth Network policies and procedures
  • Complete all required trainings as listed in Relias Learning within required timelines
  • Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position and the experience, education and ability of the employee



  1. Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field required, CAC II preferred. B. Experience: Basic knowledge of mental illness in the criminal justice system as well as standard therapeutic practices of clinical intervention for individuals, groups and families. C. Skills: Ability to establish trust and a rapport with offenders in correctional facilities with mental illness, their families, or significant others. Ability to work with individuals in a professional manner, including individuals that are in correctional settings, and have good verbal skills. D. Other: Must pass background investigation required for working in correctional facilities. Ability to lift equipment and supplies up to 15 lbs. Must possess own transportation; have a good driving record, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
